Rosey the Reader

I don’t care what she says about herself — Rosey is a voracious reader.  She is easy to recommend books too because as long as it is Ted Dekker, she’ll read it! — Mrs. Severson

Do you consider yourself a reader?

I would consider myself not so much because I don’t read as much as an 8th grader should be reading.

What are your favorite genres to read?

My favorite genres to read would be non-fiction and fiction because I like a mystery but sometimes I like how they tell the truth in a book. Then the book to me is honest.

How do you select the books you want to read?

I select them by reading the back of the books and seeing if I like it; but if the back of the book doesn’t tell me enough information I open the book and read a couple pages of the first chapter.

What is your favorite book so far?

My favorite book would have to be The Bride Collector by Ted Dekker.

What is your favorite thing about reading?

My favorite thing about reading would have to be that I can do it anywhere and anytime. And when I am reading it feels like I am in the book — if I like the book.

Do you read on an e-reader/phone/computer?

I sometimes read from my phone/ipod but usually I read from a normal paper book.

What kinds of books do you think are the most popular with kids your age?  Why?

That would have to be The Hunger Games series. Because some kids like books with fighting in it and other violence in them.

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading a series right now that is called Circle and I am on the second book right now of the series.
